For Halloween, we came up with the Scarily Honest Reviews campaign for Trip Advisor - where we unearthed genuine reviews that involved an eerie encounter with the paranormal. The campaign ran across various media and showcased reviews like this one, where a guest recounts an unforgettable night at a historic inn, complete with ghostly apparitions and a lingering sense of the paranormal. The idea was simple yet impactful: celebrate Halloween by reminding travelers that some hotel stays might come with more than they bargained for.
By leaning into humour and fright, the campaign not only captured the Halloween spirit but also reinforced TripAdvisor's commitment to honest, user-generated content—no matter how hair-raising the truth might be.
